Ascher Racing F64-SC V3

$1299 Out of Stock
Ascher Racing F64-SC V3

The verdict

The pro-sim racer's choice. 64 inputs, CNC-machined aluminium throughout, and native Simucube wireless that just works.

Best for

  • Simucube wheelbase owners wanting flawless wireless integration
  • Competitive iRacing and ACC drivers who need maximum input density
  • Drivers who value no-compromise CNC aluminium construction

Not for

  • Budget builders, the F64 V3 costs $1299
  • Fanatec or MOZA ecosystem owners without an adapter
  • Casual racers who do not need 64 assignable inputs

What it is

The Ascher Racing F64-SC V3 is a 285mm formula wheel with 64 total inputs, built by a small Swedish manufacturer that has quietly become the default choice for Simucube owners. CNC aluminium body, ergonomic rubber grips, 14 tactile push buttons, 2 seven-way joysticks, 2 rotary encoders, 2 twelve-position rotary switches, and 2 thumb encoders. The magnetic CNC aluminium paddle shifters are paired with 2 contactless hall sensor clutch paddles featuring electronic bite-point adjustment.

Simucube Wireless native. Works with Simucube 2 out of the box; SC1 owners need the wireless receiver module. No USB option on this variant. A 14250 lithium battery powers it, rated for 2 to 3 years of heavy daily use before replacement. Standard 6x70mm bolt pattern.

$1299. Currently out of stock.

Who it’s for

Simucube owners. Full stop. If you run a Simucube 2 Pro or Ultimate and you want a formula wheel, this is the one the community reaches for first. The wireless-only design is a deliberate choice, not a limitation. Ascher built this wheel for one ecosystem and optimised everything around it.

Not for Fanatec, Moza, or Simagic users. There is no wired fallback. If you are not in the Simucube ecosystem, look elsewhere.

In use

64 inputs is a lot. You will not run out of mappable functions in any title. The twelve-position rotary switches are particularly useful for brake bias and TC adjustments, giving you discrete click positions rather than the endless scroll of a standard encoder.

The hall sensor clutch paddles with electronic bite-point are excellent for standing starts. Set your bite point in software, and it holds. No mechanical drift over time.

Build quality is what you would expect from a low-volume Scandinavian manufacturer. Tight tolerances, no rattle, no flex. The rubber grips are comfortable during long stints without becoming slippery.

The wireless connection through Simucube’s protocol is solid. No dropouts, no perceptible latency. Battery life measured in years rather than hours eliminates charging anxiety entirely.

What to watch out for

Ecosystem lock-in. Wireless Simucube only. If you ever change base brands, this wheel becomes expensive shelf decoration.

Availability has been patchy. Ascher Racing is a small operation, and production runs sell out quickly. Sign up for restock notifications and be ready to move.

No display. No RGB feedback. If you want on-wheel telemetry, you will need a separate dash unit.

The $1299 price assumes you already own a Simucube base, which is itself a significant investment. Total system cost is substantial.

Verdict

The F64-SC V3 is the Simucube formula wheel. Not a Simucube-compatible wheel; the Simucube wheel. If you own the base and can find one in stock, the combination of input density, build quality, and native wireless integration is unmatched. For everyone else, it simply does not apply.
